There were three things that I really liked about this game - the unique art, the narrator's voice, and the outlandish music. The story is definitely what kept me inclined to play, for some reason I wasn't getting into the gameplay mechanics, polished as they were. The combat was consistently peppered with new weapons to keep things from getting old and you were rarely severely punished for letting your health drop to 0, or tumbling off ledges - which I did a lot of.
The ending is what made the game for me, but I'll leave it at that.
